# Factiverse > Factiverse is a Norwegian AI company that detects and verifies factual claims in text, video, audio, and AI model outputs across 114 languages. Founded in 2016 by Dr. Vinay Setty and Maria Amelie, it works with public broadcasters, newsrooms, governments, and defence organisations. Factiverse does not rule on truth. It extracts checkable claims, retrieves what credible sources say, and returns a verdict of supported, disputed, mixed, or uncorroborated, with the underlying sources attached. Editorial judgement stays with the user. ## Solutions - [Video and audio](https://www.factiverse.ai/solutions/video-audio): Live and recorded claim detection across broadcasts, YouTube, and Telegram - [Text](https://www.factiverse.ai/solutions/text): Claim detection and verification API for text and CMS integration - [AI and LLMs](https://www.factiverse.ai/solutions/ai-llms): Auditing model outputs for accuracy and safety, producing EU AI Act evaluation evidence ## Industries - [Media and research](https://www.factiverse.ai/industries/media-and-research): Newsroom and research team workflows - [Defence and intelligence](https://www.factiverse.ai/industries/defence-and-intelligence): Open-source disinformation monitoring and narrative analysis - [EU sovereign AI models](https://www.factiverse.ai/industries/eu-sovereign-ai-models): Multilingual evaluation for sovereign model providers ## Research and case studies - [Resources](https://www.factiverse.ai/resources): Case studies, reports, and editorials - [22 July LLM audit](https://www.factiverse.ai/reports/llm-audit-22-july-conspiracy-theories): Audit of nine leading AI models on conspiracy claims about the 2011 Norway attacks, conducted with Revontulet ## About - [About us](https://www.factiverse.ai/about-us): Company background, team, and academic partnerships with the University of Stavanger and TU Delft
