About Vinay

Dr. Vinay Setty brings a wealth of expertise in cutting-edge machine learning and artificial intelligence to his role as CTO of Factiverse. With a PhD from the University of Oslo, Norway, and a strong academic foundation as an Associate Professor in Electrical Engineering and Computer Science, Vinay has previously served as an Assistant Professor at Aalborg University in Denmark and as a Postdoctoral Researcher at the Max Planck Institute for Informatics in Germany.

Vinay's research has focused on solving complex challenges in information retrieval, text mining, and graph mining. His work in text mining includes analyzing unstructured data, such as news articles, to tackle critical tasks like fake news detection, news ranking, and personalized news recommendation. In graph mining, he has developed innovative techniques for training network embeddings for applications in machine learning on graphs and knowledge graphs.

Gaute Kokkvoll is the responsible for product management at Factiverse. He has experience in Gamification design, Consulting and Marketing Management. He holds a BSc in Creativity, Innovation and Business Development from Oslo School of Management (MH). Prior to that, he co-founded several startups like Bidra.no and worked with the Octalysis group.
